Another ECG strip here for you--diagnose it and get 10 yuan
I give u the patient's history--
Age-37, sex-male with HTN and hypercholesterolemia--presented to ER with chest pain and ECG taken (shown in the fig below). How would you manage this pt? 1) Thrombolytics 2) Emergency cath lab-- angioplasty 3) Conservative treatment

Well no one tried for 10 yuan
ECG shows ST elevation. Always think MI first when u see ST elevation--but don't forget the D/Ds of ST elevation---am not discussing the D/Ds of ST elevation here. In this ECG you can see---diffuse ST elevation as well as PR depression (except in aVR), which suggests 'Pericarditis'. So the correct answer is Conservative treatment. Cheers!!

pericarditis - ST segment concavity and elevation.

Though the most important criteria to diagnose pericarditis is PR depression.

Not all ST elevation in AMI are convex, and not all concave ST elevations are due to pericarditis---actually in AMI only 65% ECGs show convex ST elevation. (ref--i don;t remember now)
