well.. i dont feel the question is complete ... a otherwise healthy child starts vomiting on the tehth day and has gi obstructive symptoms.. is this all to rule out other diagnosis and go for intussuception! and u know the 95% of mechanism also...well.. hit and trail is fate of patients in our country.

the existing information is not enough to diagnose intussception ,, the pre surgical diagnosis would be GI OBS. .. during surgery the invagination of proximal loop into distal loop of nay part of GI tract would have your dianosis confirmed!!! cheers!

The question doesn't ask you to diagnose the case out of blue instead you have to pick up the likely diagnosis of the the child condition from the existing options.

I don't see any porblem going for intussusception, ofcourse you would be right if the options were not given.


  • I'm a clear, colorless fluid, contain small quantities of glucose and protein.
  • I fill the ventricles of the brain and the central canal of the spinal cord.
  • You can get me through Lumbar Puncture.
  • If I have White blood Cells or bacteria - Meningitis result.
