The morphological and pathophysiological aspects of increased permeability at the blood brain barrier and occlusion of cerebral capillaries and venules by parasitized red blood cells, contribute to cerebral malaria in plasmodium falciparum infection. The pathogenesis is yet to be understood clearly.
Well, i also found that cerebral malaria is evident in falciparum due to its following property.
1) high parasitemia
2) adherant property to endothelial wall
3) sequestrating property thru the adhered wall to end organ from end capillaries
remember that silence is sometimes the best answer
