HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

What about wound healing? - 12-10-2006, 05:38 AM

Dear friends,

Can you suggest me where I can get a good concept about wound healing and also Cysts Ulcers,Sinuses and Fistulas for surgery?
Please suggest me a few books as ALL books on surgery are not available in our college library...

Hey KUMU,

Everything is there in the Baily & Love but you can read from basic books like Robin's Pathology or Harshmohan's Text Book of Pathology.

Cysts, Ulcers, Sinuses and Fistulas are also covered in Baily & Love.

For Clinical Examination You can go through An Introduction to the Symptoms and Signs of Surgical Disease - Norman L. Browse or Hamilton Bailey's Physical Signs [Recommended Books for Clinical Science ]
