Symptoms of liver cirrhosis

Many people with cirrhosis have no symptoms in the early stages of the disease. However, as scar tissue replaces healthy cells, liver function starts to fail and a person may experience the following symptoms:

• exhaustion
• fatigue
• loss of appetite
• nausea
• weakness
• weight loss
• abdominal pain
• spider-like blood vessels (spider angiomas) that develop on the skin

As the disease progresses, complications may develop. In some people, these may be the first signs of the disease.

Mnemonics i prepared while reading for cirrhosis--hope it can be helpfull to fresh 3rd year students, for seniors just it is just a eye click...any way hope some will use it..

L:- loss of appetite,nausea,vomiting
S:- signs of portal hypertension(varices,spidar angiomata, ascites,edema)
B:- bleeding(form decreased clotting factors made in liver)
G:- Gynecomastia and hypogonadism
J:- jaundice(from high bilirubin)
E:- encephalopathy(from increased NH4)
P:- Palmer erythema
T:- Tender hepatomegaly

Oh Thanks for the suggestion i totally forget it, and mixed both Sign And Symptom together.
I should have written that "medicniresh" wrote Symptoms and i wrote "Signs" instead.
