Is MBBS in china really worth it?

Hello,
I am a student from USA who came and spent 1 month in chinese university during the summer and my experience has been somewhat dissatisfactory and below expectation.
I will be coming back to china but I am trying to transferring to a better university.

I am looking for an honest sincere advice and opinions here from students who are already studying in chinese medical universities (english taught).

From your experience how would you rate the standard of the education and teaching of your university.
*what is the quality of the students admitted in your university. Are they doctor material? (i am asking this because environment does matter)
*these medical universities are accepting just anyone without much requirements or qualifications, what does this make you think about the standard of these universities?
*How are the teachers of your university? Do they teach well? Is it easy to understand them? Are they commercial type or devoted teachers?
*what are your regrets of coming to china for MBBS? (if any).
*which university in your honest opinion is the best in china in terms of the quality of students and teachers.
*which universities really are good ranking (in terms of medical school)?

hello my friend...actually you are spreading rumor about the medical studies in China.You don't have any right to write such nonesense.I think you are a Nepali and you know that saying in Nepali "Khanae mukh lai gunga lae chhekdaina",do u?If you think you are a good qualified student for MBBS then why don't you join a medical college itself in Nepal.Actually i m also studying in China....and i know very well that all the universities of China isn't like that you mentioned.
Many people think that cheap things are not good so do that MBBS in China is also cheap.All the curiculum and teaching styles are same,but only the difference is we are studying in China.Even the labs. are well equipped in China and well facilitiated.
Thats all and please stop spreading such rumors..it degrades the morale of students studying in China and also who are trying to come in China for their Medical education.

Guys guys guys, stop blaming each other. Ok I will answer from my point of view but my college is in Nepal.

what is the quality of the students admitted in your university. Are they doctor material?
KU conduct entrance examination and those who get through it come to my college and then interview is conducted out of 300-400 candidates 60-70 are selected. I don't know what do you mean by doctor material.

Only Kathmandu University Medical Entrance Test pass student with merit list are accepted.

Most of the basic science teacher are from India. Old fellows but no option, they taught us in a conventional way. Now new teaching method. There are seven subjects in the basic science - Anatomy, Physioloy, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Community Medicine for two years. Each department had average 8-10 teachers in each subjects.

which university in your honest opinion is the best in china in terms of the quality of students and teachers.
I can't tell which one is best in Nepal, if you go for its establishment oldest one is IOM then comes BPKIHS, KMC, NMC and so on... every medical college have its merits and demerits.

Medical college ranking has not been done in Nepal yet.

I am not Nepali. I am myself a student coming to study in china. I have came and observed the students there. Ofcourse there are many good students there too but I also couldn't not notice the clowns. The reason behind this thread was not to degrade the morale of students there but rather to help me make a better decision in choosing the right university based on the feedback of the people from different universities.

What is everyone's opinion regarding Capital Medical University?

They will be teaching 2nd batch this year.
Is it advisable to go to university who has just started teaching in English.

I was looking at other options like Nanjing Medical university which will teach 5th batch this year but in comparison which school is better known?

its well known to everyone that its not only tough but its so difficult to get
any seat in medical college n nepal .i myself waste my time and money in nepal college for several year
but i was disappointed ever time .the only one option was china.therefore i request everyone dont think that ever student here is disqualified .its depend upon ones ability and dedication how he /she is performing in any college .its not depend upon any college of china and nepal .its only a rumors .if anyone think that iom is best why this year 4 of the student even failed in nmc ?

To anyone who wanna come to china and study medicine:
Hey, Medicine is not a Joke subject. And its better to understand the human before studying it. The hot theory in medicine at present is bio-socio-medical model. You should know, understand the people and disease completely and use your knowledge for the utmost benefit for them.
Whether you are asian, american, african, european etc. you need a basic to understand the problem. And that matters a lot in China. If you understand and can use chinese language then studying here is a piece of cake. The technology that are available in America or europe are available in the chinese universities where they can enroll the foreigners. Some universities are better in english medium too. China is a big country and they prefer to speak chinese while teaching. Moreover, they do teach in english but their english is limited.
So if you wanna learn something in China, then learn in Chinese. Just as an example if you wanna get better education in germany, you need to master german language, in france you need french, say america you need english. So instead of pointing out disadvantages, find your potential first. China didn't force you to come here and study. It is you who chose china. So, if you think your future is not in China, I suggest don't come here. If you really wanna struggle and make your life full of hardship then come to china. Explore china, china is very wonderful place. You cannot see her beauty unless you are here. And mind it, China is not cheap.
I am proud to be a graduate from Chinese University. Currently I am continuing my Master. And my experience is that if you can overcome chinese language, its very easy to get knowledge in Medicine. China do produce nobel lauretes.

ye some of the colleges are not good and some are excellent .you find out the top listed universities so . it will ba an ease to deal with.
