New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

Parikrama students' group at BPKIHS is organising sports events from 1st to 9th september
it is said to b for all medical colleges in nepal nd few indian colleges have also been invited
the events include: football, volleyball, basket ball, cricket
nd also quiz contest, poem competition, essay competition, painting/photography competition etc.

it sounds quite sporty, wish i were in -dharan- to catch the events live on fields.. very interestin to know medics decided to go loose in play grounds beside all the hectic schedules between classes & hospitals..

volleyball: nock out

janaki medical college vs KUMS - janaki wins (2-0)
NGMC vs BPKIHS (A) - BPKIHS wins(2-0)

football:

NGMC vs National Medical College : NMC wins ( 6-0)
MCOMS vs UCMS : MCOMS wins (2-1)

basket ball is going on betn KUMS nd BPKIHS (A)


photography exhibition is starting from tomorrow
