New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

It is great to be with BPKIHS interns - 12-12-2005, 02:13 AM

hi guys from BPKIHS,
As you know, I am in eastern Nepal for the nine weeks of field work for District Health System Management.
Currently I am Mechi Zonal Hospital Bhadrapur, Jhapa.
There are four interns from Dharan: Dr Lalit, Dr Niraj, Dr Suvash and others . Sorry I could not remembers others name.

They are so great and nice to be with guys.
We have been enjoying their accompany.
THey are helping us very much.

It is really great to be with them. How you guys from Dharan feel about this posting?
I would like to here from the friends from there.

Plz come up and post here your experiences and opinions.

THat will be great advantage for us.

They are going to give "Farewell Party"! - 12-12-2005, 03:44 AM

As I have told by these seniors (interns), they are soon going to release "Parikrama" and give a grand farewell party something like we give "Graduation Ceremony at IOM".
These fantastic interns have even offered us to take there in GHOPA, Dharan!
THe date, I don't know exactly but I am sure it is soon.
