Three Weeks Later!!!
I never grew my hair too long and it was not my hobby or plan that I want to have long long hair but it grew on its own -- it has been almost half a decade or more that I don't use comb and any oil or other cosmetics for the hair!

So it was now - I have neglected from cutting/trimming or visiting barber too !!! Yes, it exactly means like that. In some way, it even may have given the impression of "self neglected syndrome"!!! I was cool for all these.

When it comes to social and professional setting, people have everything to comment on that esp we have wrong notion regarding that. We take as taboo - only bad guys grow the hair. Drug addicts, hooligans, guys that are in and around the bus parks ...... what not. Doctors - how come you grow the stuff!!!

There were some individuals who had pretty shaky about this long hair!!! My sister in law was disappointed about this. I had pretty bad comments from one of the ward in charge and OPD in charge (senior Nursing staffs)!!! And once one of the patient party (hospital staff) also commented, your work is great but ...............HAIR !!! My residents and nurses there defended me so much..............Waooooo! They the hair has nothing to do.... that's old concept ---young and smart and confident ones go for anything like this with all the way - WORKING professionally !!! And there were many who ask for reasons of growing it - it is just like any organ in your body ....hanging there !!! Normal structure !!!

My teachers !!! No comments !!! Many of my seniors and juniors were surprised with that ! We concluded may be - it is sincere, genuine and regular - that has faded away this long shabby and hippy style! May be ! In fact, it had some good impressions like one of my teacher told me - what is so secret plan that you are working for and promised not to cut your hair until you complete that!!!

When I cut my hair because it was too long, it was hot season and disturbance in my work - everybody was surprised! Some of my teachers - young faculties commented "why did you"? They said it has nothing to do with hair....it can go like that. That's cool. Pretty ok!!! Yes it was ok. Now it is fine with this short !!!

I believed with the attitude, positive thinking, sincerity, hard work, knowledge, approach that matters! You may look great with your short hair with gel or oil and others but if you don't have above elements it makes no sense! So I was pretty confident of it. So it went like that. It was fine for me as far as I did not feel uncomfortable and it was not disturbing my work.

Of course, I didn't care it at all.


I felt so sad while sitting in front of mirror when I went for barbers' to get cut this!!! So long, so great sympathy--- I felt like coming back !!! But I decided to take if off.


It is gone now!!!

Thats fine to have long hair, doctors are human being and have all the right to have or not to have long hair.

But in this world patient wants doctor to be smart so they expect professional presentation.

Anyway u did what is good for u.
