i think all books like for anatomy, B.d chaurasiya, snells, clinically oriented anatomy etc are good but you must complete one book in detail , if you study all the book s then it will become confuse. and for physiology i think guyton is the best. and i want to know that which book is most suitable for the basic subjects for mbbs.please write your views

Thumbs up Re: Which book is better for MBBS basic subjects - 02-06-2008, 07:57 AM

my opinion is"choose urself but before choosing have a glance suggested by others!"

1. for anatomy:
if u are really interested then go for KEith l. moore otherwise u must study BD Chaurasia!
Histology: I thing no need to buy! any book u follow!
Embryology: O. Langmann is Must

2. Physiology:

At our time Guyton was really voluminous and Ganong was really insufficient and we used to study other JHARPAT books,
But now I strongly recommend u to go for Guyton and hall: Now its been concised ra JATI CHAHINCHHA TYATI ANI STANDARD CHHA!
so Guyton is Must!

3. Pathology: Robbins is must(Basic bhaye pugchha Basis padhne bela haina yo): tara kunai kunai chapter Harsh mohan bata padhnu parchha.

4. Biochemistry: If u r interested and want to have a clear concept(lippincott is MUST) otherwise Satyanarayan etc....
5. Pharmacology: KD Tripathi but make concept from LIppincott!
6. Microbiology: Chakraborty is must

its all for the student studying under KU,

I think this is very good for other university also!

ki kaso???
