New cases in Pous 2064, HIV = 175, AIDS = 26, Death = 2. HIV rate is very high in Housewives than sex workers in Nepal ! ! ! HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

  • What is the fascia overlying the saphenous opening called? Cribiform fascia
  • What are the structures passing through saphenous opening?
    Great saphenous vein
    Superior epigastric and superficial external pudendal artery <not
    veins>
    Deep inguinal lymph nodes
    Branch of medial femoral cutaneous nerve
  • What is triceps surae? Gastrocnemus + soleus

What is precordium? Area of chest overlying heart.
Where is Cloquet's (Rossenmuler's) lymph node located ? Femoral canal
What is peripheral heart ? Soleus
What is Hamstrings muscle? Biceps femoris , semi tendinosus , semi membranosus

What are the structures passing through radial groove?
radial nerve
lateral head of triceps muscle
profunda brachii artery

What is unhappy triad of knee ?
Tear of : Anterior cruciate ligament
Medial collateral ligament
Medial meniscus

Is lung free or fixed? Free except at root where it is fixed

Why the lung of adult black? Due to carbon

The only complete cartilage in respiratory tract is of : Cricoid

IS bronchopulmonay segment same as bronchovascular segment?
No , bronchopulmonary segment has its own arterial supply but bronchovascular segment is intersegmental area drained by vein.

What is recess ?
Empty space between 2 layers of pleura to provide free movement of lung during respiration.
