I think it has to do with life energy; when the body is full of life, it has an energy field that extends out beyond the physical.have u experienced a sleeping baby is heavier than when its awake???

Weight gain and weight loss are the two things goin on around.

Study are related to scientific background but the weight loss article is talking about soul but question arises if we see through the scientific way.

Bottom line there hasn't been so far any research that would prove weight loss or weight gain but you can say things from above two article.

Bones and other parts can mineralize and maybe become heavier, but they would no longer be original biological material so you'd have to decide whether mineralized parts count. I have no qualifications though.
