Shina, as your physician has said, Lymph nodes take time to disappear, and there is no hard and fast rule about how long it may take. But reading your previous posts, the lymph node is causing problems to you, so I think you can opt for excisional biopsy, so that not only you get rid of your node, but the diagnosis is also confirmed.
About the duration of treatment, I had written in my previous post also. Since yours is a case of extrapulmonary TB, you are probably in Category 3 of DOTS. That means you have to take Isoniazid, Rifampicin and Pyrazinamide for 2 months, followed by Isoniazid and Ethambutol for 6 months. For a massive lymph node with pressure effects, you may have to take steroids also. Remember DOTS treatment should be taken completely !! |
