How big is that Node ? Making you heavy to raise ur arm ??
And, i think u must have been prescribed ATT for 8 mths ..U should take medicine till you are prescribed by your physician.
The Problem with mensus may not be related to this, but Endometrial or TB anywhere may also cause amenorrhea and disturbances in menstruation as well.
If u find that node too heavy then, u can excise that and re-sent for biopsy .

Lastly, i want to know, how you were diagnosed as having TB lymph Nodes ?
Biopsy / FNAC / PCR ??

Dear Shina, if the neck gland is causing you difficulty in raising your hands also, it must be large and cosmetically not suitable also. To confirm the diagnosis, you can go for needle aspiration or excisional biopsy. Considering the long history and size, I suggest you to go for excisional biopsy, but remember what I had written in my last post, the wound healing may take time if it is a tubercular lymph node. The diagnostic sensitivity by needle aspiration and smear is 70% while that of excisional biopsy is 80%.

Since yours is a case of extrapulmonary TB, you are probably in Category 3 of DOTS. That means you have to take Isoniazid, Rifampicin and Pyrazinamide for 2 months, followed by Isoniazid and Ethambutol for 6 months. For a massive lymph node with pressure effects, you may have to take steroids also.

I agree with JNUS and Hcyst.

Were you diagnosed by a physician and what was the basis of diagnosis? Can you tell us that? Tell us more about yourself. How it started, how it progressed in as much detail as possible.

If the problem is just not regressing LN else everything is ok, we can suggest to wait and watch and taking medicines as per DOTS.

Please tell your doc about your arm and your menstrual problem. We may need to do some more tests to be sure of the cause of menstrual problem. Though TB itself is a cause of menstrual disturbance even causing ammenorrhoea but girl of reproductive age, uterine and ovarian causes and TB should be ruled out at the earliest. Please do not hesitate to tell the problem to your physician and even better see a gynaecologist.

If the diagnosis is lymph node TB, I recommend you to discuss with a chest specialist (TB expert) about the ATT/Steroids option and surgery. I hope you are taking sufficient and correct therapy.
Good luck.

Shina, Hydaridcyst in another thread already has correctly told how good is FNAC and how good is biopsy.

Please consult your physician so that physical examination and few more tests can be done before you think of changing the treatment.

For now, stick to DOTS schedule and continue taking the medicine and visit your physician once. Beside the arm problem, specifically consult about your menstrual problem also. Do them as soon as you can and we can discuss after that.

your physician is more knowledgeble and experienced to me. So u must stick to his answers and listen him.
i am not sure about the duration of time at which all LN's get regresses, but what i think is within 3 months of time of ATT.
