HIV status in Nepal till 2005: Total Adult=70000, Adult Prevalence (15-49)=0.55%, Number of Women (15-49) LWHA=15,310 (22%), HIV Prevalence rate in IDUs=32.7%, HIV prevalence rate in sex worker=3.8%, HIV prevalence rate in client of SW=2.1%. The latest U.N. report shows that 65 million people have been infected with HIV since it was first identified 25 years ago. Twenty five million people have died of AIDS.

i'm a 22yr old female with bilateral axillary swelling....i think its an ectopic breast tissue....it responds to menstrual changes and cosmetically its posing a challenge.
i want to get it removed for medical as well as cosmetic resons....but i dont know where can i find such facility or how much the cost will be...please help me

Hi prasana, we understand your problem well and we are sorry for you.
First of all, you have to make sure that those lumps are accessary breasts and not any other lumps. Ofcourse you have mentioned that they respond to menstrual changes. Still, you have to confirm them because the accessory breasts appear in the mammary line which extends in the mid clavicular - groin line. So, you better see a doctor - a surgeon and a plastic surgeon. And you can discuss your treatment options that would be the best way out. I guess you can contact any surgeon in kathmandu and he will provide you better help.
