My wife 33, is suffering from Panic disorder for the last 7 months. We went to a neuropsychiatrist and since then since then she's been taking Paroxetine CR 12.5 mg and Propranolol 10 mg. It seems that she's too dependant on the medicines, but the condition hasn't improved. I'm very much depressed about it. Does she have to be dependant on drugs for rest of her life? Can anyone help me out please? Thank you.
Thank you very much. I have gone through most of the sites. They just state to do or that. OR buy a book. Just some business policies. I want to know, what exactly is CBT and how you practise it.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is performed by an psychologist. You need to consult with your psychiatrist he will guide you in detail. It is beyond the scope of discussion here.
Panic Disorder best respond to Medication and CBT.
