Dear nicola30,
You can have children. Since you have normal fallopina tube on the other side. Salpingectomy, or the removal of a fallopian tube via surgery does not mean that you will not be able to get pregnant. If your remaining fallopian tube is normal there is a good chance that you will conceive, although it can take a little longer than normal.
In order to get pregnant it is necessary for you to still have one or both of your ovaries which is present. Your chances of getting pregnant are greater if the tube that is remaining is adjacent to a remaining ovary. Evidence has suggested that an egg released from an ovary can be moved to the uterus by the fallopian tube on the opposite side, but this is rare. Ovulation usually alternates ovaries, so with only one tube it is likely that eggs from the opposite ovary will never be fertilized. If you have had a tubal pregnancy or infection that caused the removal of your tube your chances of fertility will probably be reduced.
All the best. Disclaimer
