Kanchan,
I have always maintained one thing in my life,I DONT SUSPECT ANYONE'S PATRIOTISM.Being a doctor and hence a concious citizen of this great land we have added responsibilities in our shoulders, but is this the point in this thread? were we talking about what is plaguing nepal right now? we were talking about indifference shown to foreign graduates, stick to the point pal!!
If you dont judge the knowledge status of a person or a group of students by the exams then the best way to judge is by the patient satisfaction. Please devise a way to measure that.If that is your sole aim then please stop grumbling about how other docs are hounding you guys, there is no one inbetween you and ur patient, not the gov.not anyother doctor.
About those kantipur articles, please be assured everyone reads them, albit helplessly.I had sent Dr.Angel an article written by my uncle 12 years back stating why doctors(including him) are not going to the villages,he had cited numerous problems he had faced while working in the villages most important among them being not just lack but complete absence of resources. The most pathetic point about the article is that,if u read it today then also it is equally relevant, from that u can guess how much we have progressed in that duration and where we are heading. So, reading those things and sobbing about them does nothing, get down to works brother.
Cutting the story short: Try concentrating more on your studies and less on what will people say to you when you land on ktm, there is a lot that our generation has to do for our nation.
