hi...i graduated from De La Salle university Medical center in Philippines...althought i havenot heard of your university...i know about the Cebu Institute of Medicine...and the 4 year premed course and 4 year med proper system since i myself went throught that. i did a few months of internship in manila and came to nepal. Currently dr. angel is helping me out sort out some issues with NMC...i wil be glad to update you of the outcome...
if you plan to practice in Nepal...i don't think it should be a problem as long as the medical program is credible and you can perform your duties. there have already been quite a # of Philippine grads who have done internship in nepal even if they didn't like doing an internship after going through an intensive clerkship....not fair but thats how it is...and gone on to get their NMC registration then practice as house officers or teach or further take the USMLE and head for US. it may take a bit of time in NMC (some headaches) because the system we go through is different from what we have in place in Nepal...but i think it will work...
...do bring in your diploma and transcript along with you as i know it takes some time to receive the diploma...unless you have somebody who can send it to you. lets see if my partial internship there would get recognized.
as i read earlier...keep in touch with xenomed ...they can help a lot. if you havenot finished your clerkship...good luck and keep up your efforts...i know its very tiring but you will be the one to gain! after that give yourself a few weeks of break...i havenot done my internship here but i have heard from past phil grads...if you have finished your clerkship there...NO BIG THING...come home...!!!! Congratulations!
