i thank you all for your wishes...
and for me it will remain an unforgottable evening...sarensa and i both were somehow prepared for the journal club..we had informed all our seniors and even put on a notice about the occasion with our names in big letters..ha ha
so that the readers donot miss our names...
anyway we were ready and then we got a message that prof. basnet won't be able to make it to the journal club today...it was little disappointing for us, esp me because the article i was going to present was the study done by basnet sir, so i was expecting him and what a presentation it would have been to discuss about his own research...right infront of him...
anyway we were ready and we managed the lecture halll B...for the pupose..
and we were expecting-if not basnet sir- other members- Dr prajan,dr debesh dr soni, dr anupa, dr anil and others.. however prajan dai, debesh dai, and soni didi did not disappoint us and they made the journal club deserve the applause that it got later...
and we were ready, it waas 3:55, sarensa was fixing the projector and to our utter disappointment, the power went off...it was an loadshedding day - 4 to 6 pm....we were helpless, we could do nothing without electricity, it was like adding insult to injury...we were frustrated and were almost sure that the journal club will be postponed but there was- as ususal- our saviour- angel dai, though he could not bring the lights but he definitely made the program possible...he was the man behind the screen...

and at about 5
m despite all the adverse circumstances, the program kicked off, we had no light and no powerpoint but still we did it, it was like a classical class with out any modern utilities...
there were as many as 30 participants...they all attended the presentaiton with much interest and curiosity.. personally speaking it was one of the best experiences in my medical life....there was lots of interaction and i am sure everyone enjoyed..
in a way we proved if we are determined to do something nothing can stop us...because despite no lights, no powerpoint and getting late in the evenong, we did it....
