I can disagree on what U said.

U said some lack quality. Do they? All of them completed their graduation and all of them passed their licensing exam then all are equally qualified.

Even those who have passed from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Russia, and other countries are all not good. What we are discussing here are not individuals but a whole group.

Yes, many of us have not seen Chinese universities except the photos. We are aware that Nepalese can never compete with them. I don't understand what has 'globalisation' got to do with but China is a super-power country with huge investment in medical field. Nepal will never reach that standard in near future or ever. We cannot afford to.

But, our quality of education is in no way less than theirs for the community we are trained to serve and even in global scenario. Our graduates are doing very well every where. But, we cannot compete with China.

We do not intend to disrespect Chinese education system in here.

Some of us have seen Chinese universities. I have always wondered about how they could. Just a graduate with few months of practice have gone as teacher to world-class universities in China to give classes. I do not understand how can they go and hope some body will throw light on that issue also here. The same doctors won't be accepted by any Nepali medical school as a teacher. But, we do not call ourself superior than the graduates from china.

Government of Nepal is not sending them but the right way of saying it is 'government of Nepal is not stopping' any one who is seeking education in any part of the world.

Government of Nepal sends scholarship students who have competed well in open competition.

Again, government of Nepal is not just giving away licenses. There is a formal procedure for that. If someone who meets all the requirements and can pass the NMLE and applies for a license, then they are awarded the license to practice. Those who make it are all equals. That is what we are stressing here.

Yes, the government seats available in Nepal are very good not just satisfactory. China and few other countries give Nepal scholarship seats and that is where Nepal Government sends the students not because the quality of education is better in those countries.

Yes, many other countries send their students to china. Sorry, Nepal government cannot stop them even if they want to.

Not all Nepalese students prefer to be doctors. Just those who go into science stream with biology major prefer to be doctors. We see only them with us so we generalise saying that all students want to be medical doctors. There are also those who want to be engineers, artists, mathematicians, physicists, cricketer, wall painter, and what not.

There are not yet any medical college in far-west but Nepalgunj Medical college serves the population well. I heard that there are few medical colleges that have or will be getting permission to start. You will have to wait for some time. No body is sure how long.

The division of regions is controversial. Like, there are medical colleges in other regions too but it does not serve the whole population of the area. There is a medical school in Mid-west but those from Jomsom, Dolpa are not adequately served as you might have expected.
