Re: Germany Vs Argentina - 29-06-2006, 01:09 PM

I think the improvement in german team is not because of home soil, it is because of new and young players like Lahm, Podolski (Prince Poldi), Schweinsteiger (schweini), Anne Friedrich, not to forget Klose and the teamgeist(team spirit) empowered by trainer Klinsmann. These are the ppl who made a difference in this WC. Another change is in playing methode, you might have noticed they are playing more 'attacking'. Their quality of perfect passing and long pass to change the side suddenly, thereby confusing the position of opponent is impressive. Only worry remains at the defense. That will be deciding factor for germany's further existance in this WC.
Nothing to say about Argentina, they are good and stabile. I think tomorrows match will be very compititive. Any team that makes the first goal will win tomorrow, that is my guess. And it will end with 1:0, unless klose makes goals by heading.
If Arg wins, I want them to protect this cup from Brazil. Otherwise let germans take revenge. By the way it is a good chance for Args to take revenge tomorrow. In their last clash in 1990 they were kicked out by germans.

Here is what two strikers saying:
Miroslav Klose, Germany striker: We’re not particularly nervous about facing Argentina, even though they’re a strong side and one of the favourites for the title. Now that they have had the misfortune to come up against us, we hope we can send them home.
Carlos Tevez, Argentina forward: The key to beating Germany? Fight to the death. As well as that we have to play football and keep the ball on the ground, but first and foremost we have to fight.
