Maoist chairman Prachanda has made yet another promise that his party will cease from raising donations from individuals, industries and institutions.
In his meeting with a delegation of representatives of professional organizations, Wednesday morning, Prachanda said that the party will cease raising donations as it had tarnished their image.
Prachanda also promised to provide help to take action against YCL cadres involved in abduction and torture of doctors and administrators of Biratnagar-based Nobel Medical College.
The delegation had earlier handed over a memorandum to Prachanda seeking action against those responsible in abduction and torture of doctors and administrators.
Meanwhile, the delegation also met with general secretary of UML Madhav Kumar Nepal on Wednesday morning.
During the meeting, Nepal said the Maoists should dissolve the YCL as it was becoming anarchic and was only hurting the image of its parent party. -
